Reciprocity

The corridor runs both ways: this practice instructs US and EU associates for its own clients' foreign filings. Firms on our panel see instructions flow back.

Common questions

Correspondent FAQs.

What are your associate rates?

Flat, published, and below our retail fees, because you handle your own client. UK filing from £395 per mark plus official fees; international filing from £95 per class all official fees included; oppositions, watch responses and recordals quoted flat per matter. The full rate card is sent with our capability note, request it below.

What is your conflicts procedure?

Every instruction is conflict-checked against the client and adverse-party names you provide before acceptance, and confirmed in writing. Your client remains your client: we take no direct contact without your instruction.

Why do overseas firms need a UK correspondent at all?

Since 1 January 2021, a UK, Gibraltar or Channel Islands address for service is required for new UKIPO applications and contentious proceedings, an EU representative can no longer cover the UK. Every non-UK firm with UK-filing clients needs a UK counterpart on call.

Can you handle international as well as the UK?

Yes, that is the point. One instruction covers both registers: UK work handled by a Solicitor of England & Wales, international work by the same practitioner as an enrolled Advocate, executed through our vetted correspondent network. No second correspondent, no relay of instructions.

What turnaround do you commit to?

Substantive acknowledgement within one business day, UK filings within 48 hours of instruction, and docketing correspondence in clean, dated form your records team can file without reformatting. Our hours span time zones: your US evening is our working morning.
